Spring Break

I remember as a kid looking forward to the major holidays. Thanksgiving... out of school for at least a week. Christmas... out of school for at least 2 weeks. And Spring Break... out of school for a week. It was great! Time to go on vacations, visit relatives, or just plain 'ol sit around the house and Veg. As an adult I think it has lost its luster. I dread the times that the kids will be home ALL day. Not that I don't love them or want to spend time with them. But, when they are in school is my time. Time to do things I need to get done. Time to relax or stamp. Time to reflect on the things for the week. With the kids home I feel as though I have to "entertain". The house gets messy. The kids get fidgety. I get cranky. So, I thought it was time we actually went somewhere for Spring Break. Camping! Perfect. Out of the house, which will be left spotless. In the great outdoors. Kids can run wild. Mountain biking, hiking, campfires, quite. Great! And when we get home... Straight to the laundry room from the garage. Strip the campfire clothes head to the shower. Then the laundry, OH the laundry!!! The kids will be there to get it all caught up so, it won't be that bad.
This will be the start of a new
Adamson Family Tradition. Camping for Spring Break. See you when we get back.
